I don't understand why Google wants me to have this omnipresent search bar on every home screen if there obviously is Google Now / Google Search embedded into the launcher if you go to the left page. So after some searching I found a way to hide it. But it will show again if you go to the left screen; no functionality is lost. A total conversion of GNL into a custom launcher packed with all the features you'd expect to find on other launchers. Total customization. Great for theming. EDIT: I don't mind waiting for an undetermined amount of time, but I do mind being lied to. Hope your 14 days off is doing you well mate. At least throw us a bone and confirm/deny the death of this thing.

Love the features so much that I paid for premium. Due to Google's frequent updates any dev would have trouble keeping up. I've turned off automatic Google updates and rolled back to the last working version of the Google app (I use 5.13.31.21arm) and it works like a charm. I run xposed framework on my rooted stock Nexus 6. Check the XDA thread for version info and the links to the older version of the Google app are listed. It is a little extra work, but well worth the benefits!

It would be appreciated if the developer could improve communication with the community following this module has created. No one expects you to keep up with every single Google App update and all but the most immature of XGELS users don't have a problem being patient and staying on an older version of Google App for a month or two until the next iteration of the module is released. It's the not knowing if development is still in progress and the silence on the part of Alexander that's a bit disconcerting.

Since the last system update, issued by Motorola on 1 sept (moto 4g, marshmallow), I can no longer resize the grid and icon on home screen. Bummer! After the latest update of the Google app, also the ugly search bar can no longer be hidden 😥

The only module that makes the Google launcher even better by customizing it. Loving the new tabs and folders management. The bottom tabs is awesome and so is the requested swiping between tabs. I just can't stand Google launcher without the module. Could you please change the app icon to a new one without the circle mask. Thanks for your work.

Excellent, highly satisfied... there's just a bug disallowing you to resize widgets in CyanogenMod 11.0/Android 4.4.4 (Trebuchet): there's no handle dots or any frame around the widget, it just returns to its normal state after tap+hold. Please take a look into it :)

It seems the developer has abandoned it. Already three months since last update, and there is still nothing. Most functions of the app are broken. Don't waste your money on it!

Google Now Launcher + XGELS is the ultimate launcher. Only problem is that the Google app crashes a lot when hitting the home button, after updating apps, closing apps, etc.

I understand Google frequently updates the launcher which usually breaks this module, but updates from the developer are becoming increasingly slower. (more than 4 months as of this writing) This app is great when it works, but it's too much a hassle to keep it working. You either must catch it when the stars align and it's been updated to work with the current launcher version; or (more likely the case) track down a compatible version of the launcher, downgrade, and pray you don't accidentally update it.
